John Bush has worked at St Philip Benizi for 20 years as the Director of Plant Operations. He has helped the parish as it has grown and maintains a beautiful space both inside our eight buildings and outside on our beautiful campus.

MELISSA LANGLOIS: PASTORAL ASSOCIATE
Born in Rex, Georgia, in January of 1973, Melissa has the honor to say that she was baptized here at St. Philip Benizi when Founders’ Hall was the Church. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Education at Georgia State University and taught junior and senior English at Jonesboro High School and Whitewater High School, but then switched careers after earning a Master’s degree at Mercer University in Organizational Development with a Focus on Nonprofits. Melissa is a wife and mother and the proud servant of several rescued dogs.

DARRELL MAYO: FACILITIES TEAM MEMBER
Darrell is happy to be back home at St. Philip Benizi! He was baptized here in 1970 and received his 1st Holy Communion and First Reconciliation from Fr. Kiernan. He was also Confirmed here in the 80s. Darrell lives in McDonough, Ga.
BRIAN MCKENNA: BUSINESS MANAGER
Brian joined St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in July 2024 as the Business Manager. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has a MBA from Millsaps College. Brian spent over 22 years in the financial services industry where he led global businesses for Citigroup and Charles Schwab. His last position was Regional Manager for the Schwab Private Client Group. Following his corporate experience, Brian volunteered his time working with non-profits in the Griffin, GA area with a focus on military veteran organizations. Brian is a U.S. Air Force veteran. He grew up in the Albany, NY area and has lived in various communities throughout the southeastern U.S and Australia. Brian is the son of +John and Mary McKenna.
PATRICIA TURMEL: PARISH OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Born in Bordeaux, France, Patricia speaks French, Spanish, and English. She lived in Latin America as a teenager and attended college in Rhode Island. She moved to NYC after college and worked at a West African diplomatic mission at the United Nations. Patricia got married and moved to South Carolina for 10 years; she has lived in Georgia for the last 22 years. She has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Her hobbies include beading and crochet. She has worked in parish offices for 8 years and has been a member of St. Philip Benizi staff since 2018. She continues to feel blessed every day.
