FILIPINO CATHOLIC COMMUNITY

The Filipino Catholic Community exists to foster stronger ties and unite all parishioners of Filipino descent and those who have a special affection for Filipino culture into the common goal of serving the church and our community.  We express praise and love for God by answering the call to stewardship, fellowship and the celebration of Philippine religious traditions in our native language in Liturgy, prayer and song.  We come together  to plan and participate in activities like the Filipino Choir, Filipino brunch/dinner, Lenten Community Service in shelters and/or soup kitchens, Christmas Caroling in nursing homes, Advent celebrations, and lending assistance to the El Santo Nino Ministry. This ministry is also funding educational scholarships to children in the Philippines.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

We are Catholic men who are committed to making our community a better place, while supporting our Church.  All the good works we do are informed by our four core principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, Patriotism. Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are “practical” (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See.  “practical catholic” means a Catholic who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church and is in good standing in the Catholic Church
