Children’s OCIA
The Order of Christian Initiation Adapted for Children is the practice of the Church for preparing non-baptized children, ages 7-17, for full participation in the Sacramental life of the Church. These children or teenagers:
- Have not been Baptized and would like to be received fully into the Catholic Church through Baptism.
- Have been Baptized in another Christian community and seek full communion with the Catholic Church.
- Have been Baptized Catholic as infants but have not received the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Eucharist at the customary times.
OCIA, adapted for children, is a two-year, four-step process that takes place within the community of the faithful. This weekly program meets on Sundays.
