Adult English OCIA
The Order of Christian Initiation is the practice of the Church for preparing adults for full participation in the Sacramental life of the Church.
These adults:
- Have not been Baptized and would like to be received fully into the Catholic Church through Baptism.
or
- Have been Baptized in another Christian community and seek full communion with the Catholic Church.
or
- Have been Baptized Catholic as infants but have not received the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist at the customary times.
OCIA is a gradual process that "takes as long as it takes." As it progresses, the process has 4 steps.
