Scripture Study:  Scripture Study is offered twice weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays, using the "Six Weeks with the Bible" Scripture Study.  These sessions will be held for six weeks (except Labor Day weekend) on Sunday, September 26th at 10:30AM in Room 200 and Wednesdays, beginning September 22nd at 6:30PM in Rooms 108/110.  Our first study will be the Book of Revelation: God's Gift of Hope.  The book costs $10.

Christian Initiation of Adults and Youth (RCIA):  Adults and youth who wish to become Catholic are prepared for Baptism or Profession of Faith through the Christian Initiation Process.  Over the course of the year, adults and young people (with their families) meet weekly on Sundays at 10:30AM, to learn about and grow in the Catholic faith.  At the end of the process, the elect celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation, which are: Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion.  The candidates, those baptized in other religious traditions, make a Profession of Faith, are Confirmed and receive First Holy Communion.  The weekly meetings will begin on September 12th in Room 110 for the adults, and September 19th for the young people in Room 202.  All who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church, its teachings and practices are invited to join us!

Reconciliation and Eucharist Session for Parents & the Parish:  Classes for children are held on Mondays from 6:15-7:30PM for six weeks in the Fall and six weeks in the Winter.  Parent sessions in English and Spanish meet at the same time and are an important part of the preparation process.  Children must be in 2nd grade or older, with at least one prior year of formal Religious Education.  A Baptismal Certificate is required at registration.

Financial Peace University (FPU):  FPU is a course on how to reduce or eliminate debt.  Being good stewards means looking at how we use our income; this Dave Ramsey video series and discussion has a proven record of success.  More than 100 parishioners have been part of FPU. The last class of 22 collectively paid off $77,000 in debt.  This course begins Tuesday, September 7th at 6:30PM and runs for 13 weeks.  A free video presentation will be offered the weekend of August 28/29 after all Masses.  This course is offered several times during the year.  Watch the weekly Bulletin and Be-News-Zi for new sessions.

(ESL) English as a Second Language & Citizenship Classes:  Offered through Catholic Charities, these free classes are for those for whom English is not the native language.  The classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00PM, beginning with orientation on August 5th.  Classes are offered for beginners and for those more advanced in their English skills.  Also offered are Citizenship Classes.  Classes begin August 10th; registration is required prior to the first class.

Scripture Sharing:  Each Thursday morning at 9:30 in Rooms 108/110, the Friars and parishioners gather to discuss the Scripture reading for the coming Sunday.  Asking ourselves, "What is the message in these readings and how does it apply to our lives?", we break open the Scriptures and prepare for Sunday Mass.  Scriptures, tea and coffee are provided.  Join us any Thursday morning and hear the Word proclaimed and discussed!

Who is Jesus?  What is the Church?  These questions will be discussed in a two-part series as Fr. Michael leads us into a deeper understanding of Jesus and the Church.  "Who is Jesus?" will meet on Thursdays, 7:00-8:30PM, beginning October 21st, and continuing through November 18th (except for Oct. 28th).  The series on the Church will begin January 14th and conclude February 17th in Rooms 108/110.
